Meet the team at Clays
Mike Levaggi
Managing Director
Having served two years as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors, Mike joined the business as MD in May 2026. He offers valuable industry insight through his background in publishing and distribution, complemented by particularly strong experience across multiple manufacturing businesses. Mike will play a key role in addressing upcoming challenges and supporting Clays through its next phase of transformation.

Gina Lyons
Business Systems Director
Gina joined Clays in 2010 and has held a number of management roles across the business, developing a strong understanding of the operational processes, systems and data that support the manufacture and delivery of books.
As Business Systems Director, Gina leads Clays’ business systems, IT and data strategy. Working closely with colleagues, customers, suppliers and technology partners, her focus is on ensuring systems continue to evolve to meet future business needs, delivering connected solutions that improve efficiency, provide valuable insight and support continuous improvement.
Gina also leads Clays’ Sustainability programme, helping to embed sustainable thinking into business operations and long-term planning. Her focus is on balancing environmental responsibility with operational excellence, ensuring sustainability becomes part of everyday decision-making across the business.
Vicky Ellis-Duveen
Sales Director
Vicky’s career has always involved customer service, client relations and sales. She has experience in a wide range of industries and has worked for major brands including Vodafone and TUI UK where creating strong relationships in order to understand customers demands and work out solutions to meet them was a number one priority.
Vicky joined Clays in 2007 and is currently Sales Director. Her focus has predominantly been with the Trade Publishers working with brands such as Hachette UK and HarperCollins.
Vicky works collaboratively with her publishers to understand their business and offer services to allow books to get to market in the most cost effective and efficient way. Alongside this, there is always a focus on service, creative solutions and author care.
Andrew Brookes
Financial Director
Andrew joined Clays in 2018 as Financial Controller and became Finance Director in 2019. Since then, he has played a key role in supporting the financial strength of the business, providing strategic direction and ensuring robust financial governance as Clays continues to evolve and grow.
Before joining Clays, Andrew gained extensive experience across a diverse range of sectors, from construction to brewing, working with businesses of varying scale and complexity. His background spans both finance and procurement, giving him a broad commercial outlook and a practical understanding of the challenges faced by modern manufacturing businesses.
A Chartered Accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), Andrew brings a balanced approach to financial management, commercial decision-making and long-term business planning.
