We have a vacancy within our busy IT Help Desk department for full time, permanent 1st line support technician.
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, primary responsibilities will be:
- To act as first point of contact for calls to the service desk
- Fault finding on a wide range of hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, tablets and laser scanners throughout the factory.
- Administration of the specialist factory server system
- Participate in departmental rota to enable the team to provide round-the-clock support, to include early shift and on-call responsibilities periodically.
This position is for an immediate start. The successful candidate will have an ability to work accurately under pressure, excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills. They will be IT literate to A-level standard or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge in software and hardware support.
Previous experience of working in an IT help desk environment is desirable however, a proactive, conscientious work attitude is more important as additional training will be given.
